Sublime Comporta

Sublime Comporta is a place with a unique sense of belonging. Located a mere one hour south of Portugal˙s capital Lisbon, this retreat is nestled on a beautiful 17-acre estate, adjacent to Herdade da Comporta (Portugal's best kept secret), and characterized by mature pines and cork trees, vineyards, rice fields and nearby untouched white, sandy beaches that stretch 50 kilometers. This is an authentic place, rich in cultural heritage, welcoming locals, great foods and wines. Sublime Comporta offers the privacy, tranquility and simplicity in lifestyle that is equally addictive as it inspires to do and experience more with less.

With 14 luxurious rooms and suites, situated across two buildings whose design respects local traditional architecture and lifestyle while at the same time enriching it with a modern touch. Amenities include a restaurant, an outdoor pool and a small spa with indoor pool.

The two buildings are a mere 100 meters apart. The main house, comprises the reception, bar, restaurant as well as five rooms: the Owner's Suite and 4 Friend's Rooms. 9 additional Guests Suites are located in the adjacent building. The Spa features a sauna, steam bath, massage room and a heated indoor pool, overviewing the umbrella pines. Our in-house masseuse is ready to perform most types of massages upon request.

Unique activities can be experienced in the hotel: outside pool; SPA with indoor pool or just enjoying the special retreats focusing on various aspects of the human condition (physical, spiritual, musical, artistic, culinary etc.). Outside the hotel we recommend: horse riding; kayaks; biking; golf in Troia; casino in Troia and surfing.

Sublime Comporta restaurant is open also for outside guests and serves gourmet food with a strong local culinary influence in an elegant atmosphere. Every night our Chef David João prepares a different 'Menu Degustation' with the freshest ingredients, such as the Atlantic fish, local oysters or clams and the vegetables from our organic garden. During lunch we serve light meals by the pool, terrace or at the restaurant. Many of the ingredients are grown on surrounding farms, including the famous Comporta rice.

Our wine display keeps our selection of Comporta and other Portuguese wines at the perfect temperature for consumption. Also a bar functions every day until lat evening serving a wide range of gin tonics and other cocktails such our signature ‘Sublime’ made of sparkling wine and guava juice.
